BSC1005 is a non-majors biology course. Students taking this course have chosen careers or professions that do not seem to involve the pure sciences of physics, chemistry or biology. It is the goal of this course that after this experience, students will recognize that biology has significance and relevance to everyone regardless of career or profession. Therefore, this course has been designed to emphasize concepts rather than specific facts and to show the relevance of those concepts to the daily issues that confront each of us.
